Not close to Halifax at all... but I recommend the spot, especially with the summer coming up.

I prefer roughing it outside of the government protected sites just because of the rules, but the park is so stunning I highly recommend it.

Kejimkujik is accessible off Route 8, the Kejimkujik Drive, by travelling approximately 160 km from Halifax via Highway 10
